Drip Tray
The drip tray is installed below the indoor unit of a reverse cycle ducted air conditioner. The drip tray is installed to catch any water that may leak. In the rare and unfortunate event when a water leak occurs in the indoor unit, the drip tray is installed below to capture water and prevent it from damaging the ceiling
Drain Alarm
The drain alarm works in-conjunction with the drip tray. The drain alarm is a battery powered device that is attached to the drip tray, below and indoor unit of a ducted air conditioner. The drain alarm is designed to detect water and moisture in the drip tray. When water is detected, an audible BEEP can be heard from inside your home. This beep with be continuous, giving plenty of warning.
When you hear this beep, it is important to switch off the air conditioner straight away and call Ford & Doonan’s service department on (08) 9331 8800.
